How we specify a marble ensuite
The Mayberry and Carrara suites, decoded — porcelain, floating storage, a freestanding oval, and a walk-in that actually holds bottles.
One stone, every plane
Large-format Calacatta or Carrara-look porcelain on walls and floor, mitred corners, a recessed niche that is tiled through. The wet room reads as one volume. Grout stays quiet.
Storage that hangs
A wall-hung cabinet with U-drawers, oval vessels, oval mirrors. The trap is inside the horseshoe. LED kick so the floor stays lit. From R2,800 for the carcass; marble tops are quoted after we choose the slab.
The bath and the shower
A Lysa or Antila freestanding oval on a floor-standing mixer, and a frameless or black-framed walk-in. Pandora black is the open panel we specify most. Rain panel and handheld live on the wet wall, not on the glass.
Sanitary that belongs
Rubicon white with a gold line if the room already committed to champagne metal. A quiet two-piece if it did not. Seats, cisterns and mixers are pinned with the suite so nothing arrives in a different white.
